We offer contact lens exams and fittings to help you find the contact lenses that work best for you. Our team is highly trained and enjoys helping patients find the right fit, comfort and vision.
Before we find your perfect contacts, we need to make sure that contact lenses are a good option for you. We’ll start with an exam, ensuring we have your current glasses prescription. We’ll also test your general eye health to make sure there’s nothing that makes you ineligible for contact lenses.
Once we have your prescription and a general picture of your eye health, it’s time for measurements! We use a non-invasive medical imaging technique called corneal topography to record the precise size, shape, and curvature of your cornea. This helps us determine the right fit which is crucial for comfortable contact lenses.
Using all the data we’ve collected so far, we’ll send you home with a trial pair of the contacts that we think will work best for you. After a lesson on contact lens insertion, removal, use and care, we’ll have you wear your trial contact lenses for a few days to make sure they function properly and feel comfortable. If you’re not totally satisfied with your trial contacts, we’ll give you a different power, curvature or brand to try until we find the perfect fit.
